The Edit: COLOURPOP EYE SHADOWS

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I did not know how much I would ADORE these eye shadows from Colourpop!!
After I placing a big lipstick order from Colourpop last year, I had decided never to buy from them again. Their ultra matte lipsticks were such a terrifying experience for me. They were so dry and would get patchy around the middle areas of my lips few minutes after application. Overtime these liquid lipsticks had actually turned PURE liquid and just, straight into garbage. HOWEVER, the lippie stix weren't that bad, they just weren't a "wow" either. They're lip liners, took forever for me to figure out that they were sharpen-able? Anyways lets all forget about my bad experience because this order has me extremely happy with Colourpop!
I always hesitated to try anything else by them but I am so glad I caved into these beautiful colours and just went ahead with my purchase to give their eye shadows a try!
Their formula is something everyone needs to brag about!!
I have no idea how an eye shadow can be so smooth, creamy and perfectly pigmented ALL at the same time. It glides, it's so creamy yet doesn't crease. What you see in the pot, is what you will get on your swatch, and on your lid. Layering it up only makes it even more gorgeous and yes, still does not crease! I always felt creamier formulas are harder to blend, boy was I wrong. They blend like magic!
With my order I received free brushes. (They had a promotion going on) These brushes are also not bad quality, especially considering that they were thrown in for free!
My only only ever con about these would be the fact that they don't come in a palette =(
I prefer my eye shadows in a palette and something that is organised. With these, I have no idea how I'm gonna store them in eye sight..I'm gonna have to be creative and figure something out soon.
BUT, don't let that be any excuse to not purchase these goodies cause... you neeeeeeeed these, trust me.. you do!
❤❤❤
Can we please just adore these beautiful colours now?

I purchased Get Lucky, Kathleen Lights, Nillionaire, DGAF, Shop, Glow, Weenie, Arrow, White Rabbit, Tea Party, Sequin, Game Face, Elixir and Quarters (blush)

Ole Henriksen - All Four Love - Mini 3 Little Wonders + Cleanse

This set contains:
1.5 oz/45 ml African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser
0.5 oz/15 ml Truth Serum Collagen Booster
0.25 oz/7 g Sheer Transformation
0.25 oz/7 ml Invigorating Night Treatment

I was introduced to the 2 Little Wonders by Ole Henriksen with samples I had received from Sephora with my purchase. After just the first use, my skin felt so healthy and even. I get a lot of redness around my t-zone and my big cheeks so I try to aim for skin products that target evening out skin tone/texture and just brightening overall. The truth serum/collagen booster, is just in one word AMAZING. I follow the sheer transformation moisturiser right after. Its such a light yet very effective moisturiser. Sometimes I switch it up and use the night treatment followed by sheer transformation. They all pretty much target the same concerns. The cleanser is the extra little gift in this set as normally it just comes with the 3 little wonders. The cleanser was a bonus but I'm starting to really like it, it smells so refreshing and just really purifies your skin.

Journey to Rose Gold/Blonde Hair

Are you guys with me or not on this new hair goal?

My obsession has officially taken me on a whole different level

I often do my hair myself, only at times that I go to Europe I let a hair dresser touch my hair. (No offence to anywhere else around the world). I just feel like places that deal with more darker hair colors tend to know more about how to handle and lighten them. Coming from Turkish roots, I have dark brown hair and its always been a mission to go blonde. BUT that has never been a reason to give up on my dream blonde hair. Although I have been through some very interesting colors in the progress. If I list the amount of times that I've gone from brown-to-blonde then back from blonde-to-brown, I'd probably give you all a headache! For many years I been going back and forth, which I believe gives me enough confidence to write and give some self-taught advice.

A little note; please keep in mind that I'm not a professional or a hair expert and my advice is given only based on my own experiences.

First I wanna get you all familiar with the lingo!

Level: A level is the numeric part of the color. Levels normally go from 1-12, 1 being the darkest (black) and 12 being the high lift (platinum)
Tone: A tone is the character of the color result, its the one or two letters that follow the level number
Tones: N-Natural/Neutral, A-Ash, G-Gold, W-Warm, R-Red, C-Cool, V-Violet - sometimes there can be a secondary tone involved, for example "NG" which would be "Neutral Gold" base.
Volume developer: think of the volume of your developer as the amount of lift or lightening you want to get because volume peroxide is what opens up your hair for the color to deposit in. The higher the volume, the more it opens up. Volumes range from 10-50 (50 being insanely high and is not recommended, but been there done that and thats a whole other story).
My hair was at a number 5N on roots and 7A on tips.
My goal was a 10GV - 10 being lightest blonde. GV being Gold Violet base. 10GV is a Honey Beige Blonde with a light pink hue. I wanted it bit more pink then the results this color would give so I also used L'Oreal Feria Smokey Pink as my last step.

My go-to hair dying product brand is without question - Wella.
I like Wella's Color Charm Permanent Liquid Hair Color. My main reason for liking this line is cause its a liquid formula. When you're doing your hair yourself, you wanna get that salon look. With cream colors, its hard to absorb and blend in the dye evenly. With a liquid formula, it easily blends in and absorbs evenly. Its a lot easier and you don't have to apply it in a billion sections to make sure you get your whole head covered.

STEP 1

My first step was, what I call breaking the ice. Its where I soften my dark brown roots before bleaching. The goal here was to lift my brown roots to a 6N-7N shade, which is somewhere between a dark-medium blonde. For this I chose to use 8A which is a light ash blonde. Now, I knew it wasn't going to turn out a light ash blonde with no bleaching involved, but the goal was to soften my dark brown down to a dark/medium blonde. And to do this step its best to use an ash base tone. The results gave me unwanted brass, which was expected cause we are lifting. But that is why we have toners and I picked T35 (Imperial Beige) to tone the brass down. I first dyed my hair with 8A mixed with 40 volume developer (keep in mind the higher you lift the more brass you will get because you are lifting your hair, so seeing brass was very much normal to my eyes) I then toned the unwanted brass with T35 toner with a 20 volume developer. I chose the toner in Imperial Beige, because I needed to stay close to beige tones as possible as beige has a pink undertone.

Ratio used for the mix is 1:2
For example, 1 bottle of hair color would be 2 bottles of developer (you can easily measure this by using the bottle you have for the hair color, just fill the same bottle twice with developer into your mix.)

I let my hair wait 3 days like this before bleaching, just to calm my scalp and let it rest a bit.

STEP 2

Bleaching. I bleached my roots to an orange level. I used Clairol Nice'n'Easy Born Blonde Maxi Blonding Kit. This kit is for Dark Blonde to Black hair. Its very effective. I've used it before and I like to use this bleaching kit whenever I'm lightening my hair. If I'm going for a hair dye from my local drugstore, I only go for Clairol's Nice'n'Easy line. Its a liquefied formula just like Wella's Color Charm. I know with hair dye's from the drugstore you don't always get the results as it shows on the box. But with Clairol's Nice'n'Easy line, I've always gotten the results shown. But because I have thick and long hair, it costs me less to purchase Wella then buying 2-3 boxes from the drugstore for each step.
However, I should have let this process go for a little bit longer. I didn't use the developer the kit comes with because I wanted a higher lift. So I used a 40 volume developer to lift and I also mixed in Wella's 10GV Honey Beige color dye instead of the color dye included in the kit. (The color included in the kit is to reach more of a platinum blonde). I pretty much used this kit for lightening powder (bleach). I also did not want to leave it in for more than 20 minutes. If I had left it for 30 minutes, I would have gotten a yellow level blonde with brass, which could have ended me with better results after applying pink but I wanted to play safe and did not want to lighten it too much. After the bleaching, I applied Wella's T18 Lightest Ash Blonde (previously called "White Lady") toner, with a 10 volume developer to help mute away the orangeness.

STEP 3

Final step!! Woo-hoo!!
For my final step I used L'Oreal Feria Smokey Pink. To be honest, I'm a little on the edge with this dye. I'm not a fan of L'Oreal products..but, Clairol doesn't have a pink dye so I had to go with L'Oreal. This dye didn't give me the pink I wanted on my tips, but it gave me an actual Rose-Gold on my roots. If I had lightened to a yellow level blonde, my root results would have been similar to my tips. (For anyone using my steps, you can keep that in mind depending on the result level that you want.)
I wish it gave more of a pink result on my tips, but then again maybe too pink would not have been good for everyday use. I used everything the box came with this time, I didn't mix and match with my own products and ways. I feel like this is going to wash away and leave me with a beige blonde.

Either way I'm happy with my results and enjoying my new-hair new-me mode.
Hope you guys had fun going through my step by step to a Rose Gold/Blonde Hair and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask (:

The Six Items Every Women Needs!

These are the six items I truly believe every women should build there closet with.

1. White Blouse
This is a great piece for it can be dressed up or down. Pair it with some cute trousers to make it a classic look or pair it with some ripped skinny jeans and patent leather nude shoes to be a little more risqué and modern.

2. Great Jeans.
Good jeans are hard to come by, so when you do come across one, buy them in every colour and style..... Kidding, unless you absolutely need them .... like me! what makes buying jeans difficult is they often fit well through the legs and are to lose through the hips, butt and or waist or vise versa. Its important to get jeans you feel comfortable in, make sure they fit well through the legs and make your behind look great, the waits of your jeans can be taken in bring them to your local seamstress and let them do their thing. I like to use "Kim's Alterations located in Commerce court by King Station in Toronto"

Now to cover up is our third necessity

3. Jacket,
With textures trending, a jacket in leather, suede, fur, wool and anything that meets your tastes will do. When buying a jacket I look for something more tailored, I want it to be well constructed yet diverse. If I need to dress it up for a night out I can or if I needed it to run errands it also works. Something else I look for in a jacket is for it to be light for warmer days but making sure I have room to layer up when its cold out. Throwing a blanket scarf over to finish off the outfit is always a great idea.

4. Great Chunky Booties
Black is always my go to when it comes to shoes, you can wear them with just about anything.
With that being said, having 12 pairs of black booties is soo boring, mixing it up with textures is a great way to amp up your look. Look for booties in leather, suede, patent leathers, funky patters, booties with metals and or chains. Just make sure it fits your style.

5. Bags, bags and more bags,
Bags are great, they are multi-functional as they serve as a utility (storing your belongings) and a great accessory. Bags come in an array of different colours, shapes and even sizes. Little side bags are great for quick outings where all you need is a wallet, your phone and a lip gloss or two. Bigger bags are perfect for a full day outing or work/school. Throwing your entire life into a bag just to B**** and complain that you can't find a single thing is always pleasant. They are a great way to add some character to your look depending on what your going for. Currently I am loving my pebble leather AVGVS Dionaea Tote bag in black with matte studded sides.

6. Little Black Dress or the LBS for short
Every women needs a little black dress for those special nights. When picking my little black dress I look for something a little more fitted to highlight my curves. I want it to be short but not distastefully short.

Ohhhh Shoe Me.....

I truly believe that shoes are the way to a women's heart.... or maybe just mine!

Nevertheless they have the power to make or brake your outfit, as they are the last thing most people see, but the first thing most people remember.

My Fall faves as you can see are mainly composed of a thicker heel. I like wooden heels for fall as they give this natural earthy feeling to your outfit which is perfect for this time of year. A few of my favourites also include a little open peep or an open back, these heels are great for the unpredictable warmer days (which are rare but great) but more importantly when its dry out. For those of you who don't enjoy wearing heels I love my black military lace up boots with the gold caps. They are a great way to make any look a little bit more personalized and edgy.

Any of these shoes would look great with a darker skinny denim, and an oversized sweater, as for the light grey heels anything off the shoulders is the right choice.

ootd mood: I believe in pink

When I'm down, or just simply not in the mood for anything;
PINK is always there for me.
Therefore, I believe in pink :)
Sometimes I overdo it, and I am well aware of that, but who cares as long as you're being you!
I've been very obsessed with high-rise pants. When I got these pants I thought they were high-rise till I read on the tag that they are labelled as mid-rise?? Not sure what you guys think but its pretty close to that fine line between mid-rise and high-rise.

Play with my hair, not my emotions!

Play with my hair -not my emotions!

You guys may not be able to see or tell already, but in time you will see that I mostly use my hair in curls or beach waves. I play a lot with my hair so keeping it straight is usually not my thing. I like to have that volumed/bouncy hair that I can toss around. I will soon do video tutorial on how I curl my hair as it will be a lot easier to share my ways visually. But as for starters, I wanted to share my hair routine with you all.

I hate hair curlers. I absolutely cannot use them. I either burn myself or cant get my curls fall in the direction I wanted them to. So, I use my flat iron. Many people have already got the hang of curling hair with a flat iron. But I believe the way I curl my hair is one of the quickest ways and want to share it with you busy bee's out there. To curl my hair like the picture above only takes me about 5 mins, not more or less. I curl it with the flat iron below. Its a mini flat iron, pretty much a travel size flat iron. I like it because its small, portable and not too thick in width, it helps my curls fall more defined. Its about 30% smaller than your regular flat iron. It has a 60 second fast heat up time. It has ceramic plates, not sure what flat iron out there doesn't have ceramic plates anymore?? It goes up to 250 C temperature. Which is enough heat for most hair textures.

Soon I will post up a video on how I get this done in 5 mins.
And share my tips and tricks to get you all on that new level!

Date Night With Daniel.

Underneath all that pre-date-night excitement is one anxiety-inducing thought: What the hell am I going to wear? But worry not! A few times a month I will be posting my date night outfits. In hopes of inspiring you to put together your own stylish, charming and sexy date night ensembles.

This is one of my favourite go to outfits for a little date in the city which is both causal chic and comfy. As you will soon notice I love wearing jean button downs, tucked into a great pair of trousers, add some bling and calling it a day.. or night if you will.

Soo that's what I have done, I paired my favourite jean button down with a pair of waxed jeans and popped on a gold chain linked necklace undid a button or two and threw on this fabulous off-white
tailored coat and my gold loafers.I think the necklace is important as it adds the smallest hint of elegance. While the loafers add that touch of simplicity in a feminine yet sporty way.

Popping the collar makes the overall look edgy and adds personality. Last but not least we all need something to hold all our s*** together when we can't. So what better accessory to wear then a clutch or a nice bucket-bag.

Other advice to keep in mind don't be scared to mix metals ( bracelets, necklace and rings don't all need to be the same colour especially if they are far enough away). Your shoes and bags no longer need to match (i.e black shoes = black bag). Don't be afraid to add colour with a funky shoe and tone it all down with a classic bag. Most important MAKE YOUR VERY OWN RULES!! Fashion is objective no one can tell you what you can or cant wear. Push the limits and make yourself happy.

Sometimes the only accessory a women needs to make them sparkle is a man who loves them. Thank you for the wonderful date.

Saturdays Are For Shopping!

Cheer Up It's Saturday....
So if you are like me, you will know that Saturdays are for shopping! That mind set was instilled in me as a young child when my mom and I would spend countless hours walking around the mall shopping till we dropped. It was a time in which we would bond over great pieces and fashion must haves. We always found things that we just absolutely needed, and a "NO" was never an option. Even if the things we wanted were absolutely ridiculous we would find good reason for why we needed it, as I am sure you all do.  As for our "needs" they were obliviously wants but that fine line distinguishing needs from wants was soo foggy it really didn't even matter. So needs became wants and wants were definitely needs.

However, walking around the mall in the middle of fall/early winter was such a drag. You always needed to dress warm enough to travel there but be comfy and not too hot while browsing. So my go to shopping look was a little more on the Preppy Boyfriend Chic Side. I liked and still enjoy wearing a pair of Bf trousers, a text printed crewneck paired with an oxford shirt and super stylish metallic loafers. Accessorised with a great necklaces, pop on a jean jacket or bomber and I was set to go.

Urban Decay: Naked3 Palette Looks

So here is the second best thing that happened to my life.
There are so many reviews on this palette that I wasn't sure if there was even a need for another one, when all of you know by now how amazing it is. This review would in conclusion support your need to buying this palette.

Which is why I decided to do something a liiiittle different to help you cave into your cravings. Instead of writing how amazing this palette is, I will be updating this post with looks I've created with this palette and let it speak for itself!

You can't blend with us! - Sephora's Glitter Happy Brush Set

Who's a fan of Rose Gold? I definitely am!
If I was able to have everything in rose gold, I would.
When I saw this brush set - I neeeeeded it!
I will admit that the stand looked a lot prettier on the Sephora website. It looked like it was more...pink...but when it came..it seemed a bit on the orange side and what they used for the glitter was very cheap. The stand is just oh-kay.
The brushes on the other hand, are not just gorgeous but great quality. I have started to use almost every single one of them everyday. The only brush I can say needs improvement is the precision concealer brush. Its very stiff and leaves strikes. In my opinion its too rough to be used as a concealer brush.

"Sephora Collection Happy Glitter Brush Set"
This set comes with:
Blush Brush
Pointed Foundation Brush
Blending Brush
Precision Concealer Brush
Allover Shadow Brush
Lip Brush

My favourite of them all is the pointed foundation brush, it applies like a dream.
This set was limited edition, and I believe it unfortunately discontinued from the Sephora website (some stores do have it in stock though). Good news is that, there is a latest version of this set thats available on the website. The latest version is not rose gold and has a different shaped stand. (It also doesn't have that cute little quote like on the rose gold set, "The Twinkle of My Eye")

The new set comes with:
Blush brush
Powder brush (which has replaced the Pointed Foundation Brush)
Crease brush (very similar to a blending brush)
Precision concealer brush
Allover shadow brush

With the holiday season coming up, and many of us already shopping for gifts, I thought I'd share what I think would make just about any girl smile.

Workweek Wednesdays

Think Like A Lady And Act Like a Boss
Tired of overthinking your outfit? When that time can be better spent sleeping? Well this outfit was put together for you. So please resist the urge to start dressing like a "nincompoop". Pull out your absolute favourite article of clothing and build an outfit around that. I started with an off-white blouse, I choose this one because of the subtle pearl buttons making it super elegant. Pairing it with a tailored black blazer with silver zippers and my favourite taupe waxed jeans. Finishing with pointy little cuffed pumps and a sparkly piece of jewellery. A dark lip can make this look super chic but for work, if you are anything like me at the moment, NUDE is the way to go. I would recommend NYX lip butters they are the perfect way to add a little colour with lots of moisture. Make this your classic combo for your Workweek Wednesday.

Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing Foundation in Light Beige 020
Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation in Medium Beige 030
Clarins Instant Concealer in shade 02

I am so ready to brag about these products!

I have to say I really really realllly like Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing Foundation. Its so lightweight but great coverage. It feels like your own skin, it blends so smoooothly. It was said to create the "bare-skin effect" - and yes it did! I got this in shade 020 (Light Beige) its pretty much my exact skin colour but I still like to blend a bit of medium beige for a dewy natural glow.
"What it does: Diorskin Nude boasts 100 percent natural active ingredients and an extended shade range to create a shine-free, natural glow without masking the skin's texture. With continued use, it improves the natural radiance and beauty of the skin day after day."
It has officially become my favourite foundation.

As for Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation in 030 (Medium Beige), it's by far the best expressed "medium beige" shade I have ever used. Its not too pink and its not too peach, its right where it should be - beige. I have medium beige in the Forever Flawless line as well and I'd say the difference is small, but noticeable enough. I am not too much of a fan of how thick this formula is, some of you may not like the texture as it can highlight your pores. I use this mostly to blend with my regular shades so it doesn't bother me. I suggest trying out a sample of this before buying the full sized product as it might not be the best for everyone. I have used this line in shade 023 (Peach) as well and the reason I had stopped using it, and switched to Forever Flawless, was because of the thick texture it had. But seeing how perfectly pigmented this medium beige is...I wanted it in stock.
(I will update this post with a comparison of Forever Flawless and Star Fluid in shade 030 for you guys soon)

Last but not least, is the Clarins Instant Concealer. This concealer comes in a squeeze tube. It has a slightly creamy texture. It applies smoothly and it's very easy to blend. It has medium to full coverage for those annoying dark circles we all hate, while brightening your under eye area. It lasts long enough throughout the day and without creasing or fading. Its my first time using a concealer from Clarins. (I normally use Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless). I feel like I will be continuing to use this product for a long time. I got mine in shade 02, as it has a pinky/peachy undertone. As some of you might already know, that peach or peachy-pink tones cancel out darkness and dullness. I use my concealer underneath my foundation. This way my concealer works both as a colour corrector and a concealer. Some people like to use it over their foundation but I choose to use it underneath to cancel out the dark circles, then apply my foundation for a more evened out finish.
